I had no trouble with my kit. This kit is not a two or three in one so if you expect extra parts thats your fault the box clearly shows and describes a stock version that when built right turns out very nice. lots of chrome well detailed kit.

This kit does not have any extras that used to come with amt. Custom or drag. The kit can only be built as a stock version. Being young and building this kit was fun to build any way you choose, drag custom or stock. We need to get the young ones eager to build such kits as I did. And maybe classic AMT kits will still be produced years from now. When you take away such things. The consumer feels as they have been cheated or mislead. Over all the AMT 57 Chevy has been one of my top favorites to assemble.

The instructions were not detailed at all. A couple parts were missing. The kit didn't have many parts compared to other Skill 2 models I have built. I painted and built this model in about 1 week since there wasn't that many parts to be painted. I would not recommend this kit, you will be disappointed.

This model was disappointing for a few different reasons. The box said it was molded in the same color plastic as shown. It wasn't, it was 3 or 4 shades lighter, ugly, and I had to paint it anyway. After painting it, I reviewed the pieces on the tree and found 2 pieces missing (steering column and one chrome tail light). I couldn't take it back because I had air brushed already, so I started putting it together anyway as a test model to try some different ideas. I found that the pieces did not go together flush, i.e. head light fixture did not fit flush to fender and the motor was a joke. It does look good on the box though.

I was hoping to find more parts in this kit, considering the price. There was no extra material. I scrounged up some of the old custom parts for mine, but the kit only builds what you see on the box. This kit has the most empty sprue trees I've ever seen.
