The kit includes: four horses with harness and hitch chains; three Confederate artillerymen; cannon, ramrod and limber; water bucket; locking chains; and Confederate flag. Instructions are included for making a flop hat and long pants.
This vignette represents a true historical moment in the American Civil War. At the Campaign of Second Manassas (August 27-September 1, 1862) the Confederate Army of North Virginia, under General Robert E. Lee, overran and captured a Union artillery battery. Major General John Pope of the Union Army of Virginia lost 26 of his best artillerymen on the hilltop known as "Battery Heights".
